The Hotel

Since opening in 1977 the Meliá Marbella Banús has been an enclave of glamour in Puerto Banús. Its privileged location has made it one of the most popular Hotels for vacations in Marbella, and its guests have included a large number of celebrities.

The Presidential Suite has welcomed international stars on many occasions, including Julio Iglesias and Michael Jackson, and has been the exclusive home for the lengthy stays of King Fahd of Saudi Arabia.

The Hotel has a truly Mediterranean charm, with colours that highlight the natural light that is so characteristic of Andalusia. Its location in a residential area makes it ideal for relaxing in its spacious, tropical gardens or for visiting the great choice of boutiques, Restaurants and Bars in Puerto Banús. It is just a 7 minute walk from the Paseo Marétimo, where guests can enjoy a charming walk whilst admiring the most luxurious yachts in Europe.

The centre of Marbella and its historical old quarter is just 6 km away. The Meliá Marbella Banús's privileged location means it is the perfect starting point for visiting the nearby picturesque sights such as Mijas, Ronda, Gibraltar.

The Hotel provides a total of 221 spacious, sunny outward-facing rooms, distributed over 5 floors: 212 of which are double rooms with 2 twin beds, 6 are Junior Suites, 2 are Superior Junior Suites with a private whirlpool bathtub on the terrace overlooking the sea and mountains, and 1 is the 600m² Presidential Suite in the loft area, with a private pool and panoramic views of the Mediterranean.

The Hotel has 4 meeting and banqueting rooms with capacity for up to 200 people and offers a wide range of menus for coffee breaks, gala dinners, business lunches, Buffets and cocktail parties.

The Hotel provides 2 Restaurants: the Réo Verde Restaurant for “a la carte” lunches and Buffet dinners offering a great choice of dishes and allowing guests to create their own personalised menu. It also boasts a magnificent breakfast Buffet with show cooking by the Hotel chefs. The open-air La Hiedra Restaurant offers a spectacular buffet also with show cooking for a traditional Mediterranean lunch and a wonderful dinner with an excellent selection of shellfish, salads, meats and fresh fish. The Italian dishes served in our Pasta Corner are also a Buffet highlight (in summer).

Marbella's microclimate has warm winters and not too hot summers, thanks to the shelter provided by the Sierra Blanca, the spectacular backdrop for the resort.
